Friday July 30th - Challenging travel day!
Arrived safely in Anaheim at approximately 7:30pm EST - 4:30pm PST after a very challenging travel day that began with our departure from the SUNY Delhi campus at 2:30am EST. Upon our arrival at LaGuardia Airport this morning we were advised that our plane was being cancelled and new travel plans would need to be made via an 800#. Special thanks to Colleen at Catskill Travel saved the day as we were able to get all eight members of our travel group on the same plane with only a three hour arrival delay from our original travel itinerary. The advance team arrived early this morning in Anaheim and met us at the airport.
Once settled in our hotel rooms we were confident in taking on the California drivers and went for dinner at Bucca di Beppo's. Dinner was fantastic and just what everyone needed after traveling to Anaheim by both plane and van.
Saturday July 31st will be spent making food purchases, receiving overnight food supply shipments from SUNY Delhi and a most important a final day of rest for the team before their final preparations begin.
We are all very proud of our team and wish them every success as they begin their final preparations for the ACF Championship on Tuesday August 3rd.
